1 Publishing a share link, voting and tagging need a verified email address, not just an account. 2 An organisation’s private labels are its own working notes, visible only inside its workspace — never platform data withheld from the public.
Money never buys attribution influence. Paid tiers get compute and convenience — never label weight, curator status, or any of the attribution commons: on-chain data, labels, votes, evidence, and signatures are fully public, forever.
The attribution commons runs on evidence and track record. A paid account votes with exactly the weight its history has earned, sees exactly what a free account sees, and passes the same curator review as everyone else. Read the doctrine →
What the money pays for.
Bitcoin has no foundation, and neither does Flow. Explorers on other chains grew up with one — Etherscan, for example, was backed by Ethereum Foundation grants — but nothing like that pays for followthesats. Full-chain clustering across 1.5 billion Bitcoin addresses runs on hardware and bandwidth somebody has to fund, so we charge: mostly Enterprise — exchanges, foundations, custodians and research teams that need scale — and Supporter subscriptions once the beta ends.
That’s the whole model: the people who need the most of Flow fund it for the people who need it free. We hope it’s useful to everyone.

Will the free tier stay free?
Yes. Forever. Free public access is the founding commitment of this project, and the paid tiers exist precisely so it never has to change. Organizations fund the platform; the public uses it. If the economics ever forced a choice, the paywall loses — not the public.
Why is Supporter free right now?
Flow is in beta. Every new account gets Supporter — indirect exposure, Nearest, Roles, AutoTrace and the higher daily limit — at no charge while we finish it. A price comes later, with notice, and nothing you saved goes away.
What does Enterprise include?

Does paying affect labels?
Never. This is doctrine, not policy: money never buys attribution influence. No paid tier grants label weight, curator status, or visibility into data the public can’t see. Attribution influence is earned one way — by being right, repeatedly, in the open.
