Manifesto

Every satoshi leaves a trail. Follow it.

Why Flow exists, why its builders are anonymous, and the principles the platform runs on. Nothing on this page asks you to trust us — every claim here is checkable against the public chain and the live product.

Who we are

We’re a small team of engineers who like reading the chain. We don’t publish our names, and that’s deliberate: we’d rather the attention stay on the data than on us.

Bitcoin has been here before. The system itself was built by someone the world knows only as Satoshi Nakamoto — and it never mattered, because nothing about Bitcoin asks you to trust its author. Everything is public, and everything can be checked. We hold ourselves to the same standard.

So don’t take our word for anything:

Trust the verification, not the authors. That’s not a workaround for being anonymous. It’s the whole point.

The Flow team, verified by work, not names

Principles

  1. Open data, open tools. The ledger belongs to everyone. The tools to read it should too. The public tier is free and stays free; the people who need the most of Flow fund it for the rest.
  2. Hypotheses, not verdicts. Every label on this platform is a community hypothesis with its sources and confidence displayed. Published facts (an exchange’s own disclosure, an official list) are marked as what they are and cited to source. Nothing here is a finding about anyone.
  3. Wallets and services, not people. Flow describes clusters: exchanges, pools, marketplaces, wallets. It is never grounds to name, contact or expose a private individual, and speculation about who a person is has no place in the label system. That rule ends participation, permanently.
  4. Passive observation only. We read the public blockchain. We do not hack, probe, intercept, or de-anonymize anything, and neither may you through us.
  5. Check the work. Everything Flow asserts is reproducible from public data. If you can’t verify a claim, treat it accordingly — including ours.

Using Flow well

Flow is an analytics tool over public blockchain data. Use it to understand, to explain, to publish, to build. Labels and signatures are starting points, not conclusions; keep the and the confidence with them when you share what you found.

Flow does not accuse or take action against anyone, and it is not a place to organize doing so. Anything that needs an authority’s attention belongs with that authority, outside this platform. The Terms say the rest.

Disclaimer

Flow is an analysis tool for publicly available blockchain data. Nothing on this platform is legal advice, financial advice, or investment advice.

All transaction data displayed here is drawn from the public Bitcoin blockchain, which anyone can read. We do not hold or display private personal information about the individuals behind on-chain activity, and we do not have access to any non-public financial records. The minimal data we collect from our own users is described in our Privacy Policy.

Labels and behavioral signatures on this platform are community hypotheses, not findings of fact. They may be incomplete or wrong, they are subject to community review and revision, and they must not be treated as proof of any person’s or organization’s involvement in any activity. No content on this platform constitutes an accusation of wrongdoing against any person.

Flow is an independent project. No foundation funds it — the people and organizations who use it do, which is why the platform has paid tiers at all. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or acting on behalf of any law enforcement agency, government body, or blockchain foundation. Reports of suspected crime should be made to the official channels listed in our Responsible Use statement; we cannot investigate, intervene, or recover funds.

Use of this platform is subject to our Terms of Service.

Flow is independently built and independently owned. Serious parties can read about acquisition here.
